Blacksmithing
A blacksmith is a metalsmith who creates objects from metals by forging the metal, using tools to hammer, bend, and cut. Blacksmiths produce objects such as gates, grilles, railings, torch fixtures, hinges, furniture, sculpture, tools, agricultural implements, decorative and religious items, cooking utensils and weapons.
While there are many people who work with metal such as farriers, wheelwrights, and armorers, the blacksmith had a general knowledge of how to make and repair many things, from the most complex of weapons and armor to simple things like nails or lengths of chain.
Like leather workers, blacksmiths generally specialize in particular fields of their trade, such as armor working, weapon smithing, or whitesmithing
A blacksmiths main tools:
Anvil and Forge: Using either the anvil or forge will let the smith make weapons, armor and other metal items.
Workbench: The workbench is used to temper and repair armor and gear.
Grindstone: This will let the smith hone blades and sharpen tools.
Smelter: Some smiths have a basic smelter nearby used to recycle damaged or rubbish equipment into usable materials. can be used to smelt ore but only at 50% normal material output.
