Dwarf
The dwarven race are often seen as isolationist and having no real interest in the surface world. This is mostly true and while dwarfs are often at their most happiest when they are underground drinking, digging or forging this is only really correct of the dwarf that live in their sub-surface cities. Many dwarfs can be found on the surface (often in taverns) and they are often hired to manage mines and large forges. Some of the best armorsmiths and weaponsmiths are dwarven.
Dwarfs have an irrational hatred of goblins and will go out of their way to kill any goblins they find.
Also unlike commonly held belief they generally do not sing while they work.

Dexterity can be no more than half strength
Cannot use 2 handed weapons or large weapons
Can move 10m per turn
Bonus to perception rolls +4 when underground
Low light vision
Can speak Dwarfish, Under-common, and common

Naming Traditions
Other names
Dwarves generally have a several names depending where they are, they will have one name in their home, another at work and another in the tavern. No one knows why this tradition started but it has led to many deadly and funny confusing moments.
These days most dwarfs that live on the surface use only one name and keep the others for when they go home to there underground cities.

Funerary and Memorial customs
Dwarven dead are taken back to their birth cities (when possible) and laid to rest in the lava fields deep in the earth that their cities draw their power from.
