Gnome

The word Gnome itself means “Those with knowledge” at least it does according to gnomes. According to most historians thou it means “Little people”.

Gnomes are generally slightly smaller than dwarfs and thou they also live partly below ground they do so only because that is where resources are and it makes it easier to build their contraptions and shouldn’t be mistaken for one another.

Unlike the Dwarves, gnomish cities are only partially underground and still very visible from the surface. Gnomes are very interested in all aspects of science and engineering.

They are typically wise but suffer from pride, and have an overweening love of the works of their own hands, particularly gemstones and clockwork constructs.

Where as humans on average is around 170 cm
And dwarfs max out at around 140cm
Gnomes are rarely seen higher than 110cm

Gnomes showing interest in others generally involve them creating something to show their affection thru mechanical means, to varying degrees of success. Many gnome first dates have ended up at the healers after an untested construct went out of control.
