Asgard

Like the other layers of the plane, Asgard is formed of vast chunks of land of sizes that vary from small to continent-like. These lands float in the sky, flowing like rivers of earth several million miles wide along patterns that resemble huge arches in the sky. The chunks of inhabitable land slowly shift and move, breaking apart and crunching together. The bottom portion of those earthbergs shine with a red light that illuminates and warms the layers below. Asgard is the best known layer, as well as the most populous. Its mountainous landscape leads to cold seas and, at night, the numerous earthbergs glow in the sky along their arches, forming structures resembling rivers of lava. The largest realms of Asgard are found on this layer. As such, its hilly landscape is dotted with large halls and battlefields.

Asgard sits at the uppermost point of the World Ash, Yggdrasil. From there, it connects to all of the Nine Realms the Aesir claim domains within as well as numerous others. The Roots of this great Tree are buried within Niflheim (the 2nd layer of the Plane of Hades) , Jotunheim (A realm within Abaddon) and the Negative Energy Plane. The Bifrost connects Asgard directly with the Material Plane, of known as Midgard.
