The fall of the Kingdom
The Great Galactic kingdom fell due to internal and external affairs. The rise of the Empire lead to the people of the kingdom to fear large scale War, and a loss of work and resources to feed the economy. The kingdom's forces spread to prepare for war are no longer able to stop the crime on the further planets and systems. This leading to discontent among the people of those world and forcing them to look for someone to bring peace and stability to them. The only option for people being the Empire, causing further loss of people of and resources. The empire got into various skirmish's to remove the remaining forces of the mostly neglected planets. Then for the finishing bow the Current King of the Kingdom dies. The specifics of his death remain unknown. Most believe it was a disease that killed him since the rest of the royal family and officials in the palace died within the month. Others suspect foul play, specifically an assassin. With the royal family dead the remaining lords try to hold the crumbling empire together but without the center of governance the Kingdom began to fall apart. The remaining systems and planets making up to one sixth of the galaxy surrendered to the Empire fearing military might. Each planet/system had a governing lord, the lords were the ones that made the call for surrender, to save their people. The people of the remaining kingdom worlds were brave and loyal people who would have died for their lord. Thus ends the Galactic Kingdom.
