The Rise of the Empire
The empire was founded on a small outrim world of the galaxy. One free of both the kingdom and the mostly unknown Sa'kage. It was mostly left to its own devices due to its lower population and non unique resources. But as time goes on this world is plagued by bandits and thieves. It becomes a hive for pirates. This leaves the people afraid and looking for some sliver of hope. Then someone comes along with a few soldiers and liberates a few villages. These villagers praise him and some even join him. This would be hero then attacks and frees more villages then towns and even the few cities of this world. Leaving him the undisputed ruler of the world. He is declared the Emperor, as his so called empire spanned the who planet. His influence and story reach other planets in the system who's citizens begin to rise up and force any evil doers to action. The Criminals begin slaughtering the people. At word of this and knowing it was in some form his fault the Emperor send forces ahead of him to these planets to protect the people and wait. The forces are ordered to wait for his arrival so he may access the wrongs and deliver judgement. In this way he is seen as a just and righteous ruler by the people and now becomes ruler of a System. His influence spreads until he become the Emperor of one third the galaxy. He only rival the Galactic Kingdom. He has had may battles with the kingdom. Some resulting in destroyed planets and peoples. Both sides blamed by the other. For war is a battle with no true victor. Most of the planets ruled by the empire at this time were barely if ever affiliated with the Galactic kingdom, but a few who switched sides. The side changer bringing a majority of the firepower to the Empire, as they were more developed worlds. Now just as an all out war was about to begin to decide the future of the galaxy. The King of the Grand Galactic Kingdom dies. No offical cause for death was ever released. But most suspect a disease, as the rest of the royal family was also declared dead with in the month. With this sudden collapse in command the kingdom falles to ruin as many planets and systems look to the Empire to fill the power void and restore peace to the chaos. The planets and systems left numbering one sixth of the galaxy now face the looming threat of the Empire and submit to their will before any major conflicts occur. The decision the surrender made to save the people of those worlds as they were a brave and loyal people dedicated to their lords to the bitter end, and the lords unable to see their beloved people killed. The Empire now controls a vast majority of the galaxy with a few worlds un governed and a few left alone. The Sa'Kage waiting in the shadows as they always have but with a little more freedom to move as the Empire was to new at ruling systems to properly restrict them.
As the decades become century's, the empire shifts its seat or power from its starting worlds in the far outer rim to the Developed world of the Kingdom so to shifts the peace that the empire brought. The original worlds of the empire not totally forgotten but now facing some of the same issues it had before are becoming resentful but also like before they have no power to do anything. Many worlds once held in the peace of the Empire now feel forgotten and alone.
