Wielding Magic

Peoples are primarily separated by if they are capable of using Magic. In order to use Magic, users must pull it from not only their surroundings, but also from their veins. Mundanes are completely incapable of doing this, and as such cannot wield Magic at all. Fey, on the other hand, are innately capable of this ability from birth. Channelers are the most unique of all these classifications; while they aren't innately capable of wielding Magic, they are - with enough time and effort - are capable of wielding Magic.
