Blazehounds are a combustable canine species living in the emberpeaks. They are an easily exciteable species, and this enthusiasm causes them to catch fire. The fire does not harm them, but can be startling to species visiting from other areas.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Blazehounds are a canine species, standing at 2-3 feet tall and 3-4 feet long. They come in a variety of colours, from blacks, to browns and many shades of red. They have darker-coloured eyes, which have the capacity to glow.
Blazehounds have four legs, and long floppy ears.

Ecology and Habitats
Blazehounds live in the emberpeaks, a range of volcanoes with an incredibly warm environment. While blazehounds are technically capable of living in cooler areas, it is not good for them, and they may become anxious or depressed when exposed to the cold for too long.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Blazehounds are omivores, able to eat anything from the plants native to their habitat to the small animals crawling around. Blazehounds enjoy eating ignetick, a pest in the emberpeaks, and are often utilised for getting rid of high populations of the arachnid.
Behaviour
Blazehounds have a unique feature in that when they become overly happy or excited, they will combust into flame. These flames do not hurt the blazehounds, but they can burn species that are not resistant to flame if they come too close.
Additional Information
Average Intelligence
Blazehounds are fairly intelligent, though this varies depending on the individual. They are good at hunting and tracking, but some get overexcited and are not aware enough of their surroundings to realise that they are setting things on fire.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Blazehounds have an incredible sense of smell, able to distinguish millions of different scents, as well as track them. They have great hearing as well, able to hear faint noises from very far away.

15-20 yrs.
Average Height
2-3 ft.
Average Length

Geographic Distribution
Omg, fire puppies! I love they get excitable and don't realise they are setting things on fire.
