Yeah, I'm fine... just a sore throat. Do you think you could brew me some sunkenweed tea?
— Someone experiencing the beginning stages of Arcane Deterioration
Sunkenweed tea is a type of tea made with the sheaths of sunkenweed. It is enjoyed primarily in rolling hills areas, but has also been exported elsewhere.

Brewing

Sunkenweed tea is made by taking specifically the sheaths, and not the roots, of a sunkenweed plant, and putting them in boiling water for around 5-10 munites. The longer the tea is brewed for, the stronger the taste of the sunkenweed, and the more potent its effects.
Some folks prefer to add sweeteners to the tea, making it more sweet and easier to get down, while others (especially species that don't taste bitterness) choose to drink it as-is.

Medicinal Use

Sunkenweed tea is known for being able to soothe sore throats or relieve minor coughing. This benefit is not strong enough to merit sunkenweed's use in a pharmeceutical setting, but makes for an excellent at-home remedy for minor illness.
In addition, due to the environment that sunkenweed naturally grows in having intense magical Auras, some people experiencing negative energy diseases have been known to crave this tea.

Ways to Drink

There are some foods that pair particularly well with the flavour of sunkenweed. Yndu meat, especially when cooked rare, has a hearty, rich, taste that pairs well with the bitterness of the tea. For those only drinking it becuase they are sick, salted goldenroot stew has a nice, earthy palette that goes nicely with the flavours of sunkenweed.

Is it the kind of bitter that green tea is when you overbrew it?   I want to try it. :D
