Glittergold
The Glittergold Family was the founding family that began the city of Morecia. Martha Glittergold was the founder of this family and she had a single son who was the father of the two remaining daughters of the line. The family was built on the back of Martha who was a skilled hunter and was able to bring several groups of people together and begin building a settlement before protecting it from the monsters, bandits, and diseases that spread across the land.
History
The Glittergolds began with Martha Glittergold, she used her bow to carve out an established campsite and as people were traveling across the land they decided to stay and never left the camp. Eventually Martha and the few other hunters that were with her began to build a community. They had their first challenge when a group of bandits wanted the hand carved bows that Martha made for the hunters and whatever food and gold they had. The hunters and Martha beat back the bandits and actually convinced a few of them to join her side and help beat back the other bandits in the area. After that they began to get the first few houses set up and a small ditch dug around to set up a small palisade. The other bandits did not stand a chance against their bigger numbers and better weapons, soon all the clans of bandits joined with her and they decided to begin building a wall. A few years later the city was thriving and the weeping pox spread through the country affecting even Martha, a few months after she gave birth to her son the sickness set in but did not claim her for nine more years. During that time she set up and council and other forms of government but begged them to keep the line of succession in mind though they could elect someone to lead from outside her family with a full council vote. After her death her son ruled for years and eventually had two more daughters before the night that he was murdered along with his wife and the rest of their cousins and other family members leaving only Helen Glittergold and Sophie Glittergold.
