History of Etharis
This timeline is a history of Etharis-wide events. Major events throughout the history of the continent that affect all of its denizens.
The Era of Creation

Whilst the timing is unknown to anyone except the Gods who made Etharis. The very first Era was a long one of the Cardinal Gods finding and creating Etharis. Adding all the details, and eventually of the first races being created and thriving. It would stil be centuries until Humans plagued the continent.
The Time Before Man
2000 BF 1400 BF
Named because it is the time before Humans arrived on the continent of Etharis. During this time, Elves and Dwarves spent their time lording over their immense empires. The Dragonborn lived down in the lands of the future Castinellan Provinces, The lands of the future Ostoyan Empire laid empty and untouched and the North was dominated by Goliaths, Giants, Orcs and other hearty folks.
Rise of the Burach Empire
750 BF 418 BF
The Burach Empire would come to be the largest nation Etharis had ever seen, spanning the majority of the centre of the continent at its peak. It was a slow rise, initially started by the tentative allegiance of the four main tribes of humans that had absorbed all other tribes in their immediate vicinities. And it was fully established by the end of the reign of its first emperor. Emperor Indorius I
The Era of Further Descent

Named for its similarity to the Era of Descent a millenia earlier, this Era sees many nations of Etharis, though particularly the Burach Empire, see tragic events, disasters and all round destruction in various forms. None of the nations are as prosperus as they once were, some are even clinging to life. The end of this Era is seen as the Godfall, when the world as we knew it changed completely.
