Turesa

The small coastal town of Turesa is usually a quiet town occupied with fishign and trade. Most trade goods from Malkovia and Castalore so not many merchants bother with the small port size of Turesa. The ever present threat of the Mist Wall prevents the local fisherman from venturing too far from harbor. The Mist is the first layer of protection for the Ravencourt Sanctuary school of magic. Those entering. the mist uninvited will find themselves beset upon by giant sea serpents. The number of broken ships that wash upon the Dire Shore stand as a warning to others to avoid the mist.
Every 7 years a boat arrives mysteriously upon the shores of Turesa through the mist. Those who boarded 7 years ago, save one, return to shore while those who have shown promise board. The town has a festival a week before the boat's arrival which lasts until the boat departs into the mist.
It is not known what becomes of the missing student but the Sanctuary always keeps one student back as its due. The students who do return are not able to disclose the fate of the missing student
