History

During the primitive Age, when Orcs ruled brutally over Etharis, Utpeedan made many enemies as his creation ravaged over the other godly works. while the gods still head to learn that there was the common enemy of the eldritch horrors, they quarreled with each other, plotting to steal the powers of each other. to create an enemy for the seemingly superior orcs, Dhados, the elven god of poisons and his son Ehrados, the god of snakes and worms, made a pact to create a force so mighty, that it could destroy the orcs. With this goal in mind they created the Yuan-Ti, snakelike people of high Intelligence and Cunning. As the Orcs could not be bested by pure force, they had to be fought from the darkness, the Under-darkness to be precise. while the orcs lavished in their life above ground several tribes of Yuan-Ti formed alliances in the underdark, sending out killing-commandos. as they attacked from the night they killed mercilessly, dragging captured enemies underground and sacrificing them to their gods and the archdemons some later learned to worship.
In a sense Dhados and Ehrados got their wish fullfilled as the Yuan-Ti slithered on on several continents underneath the earth, bringing fear to everyone who has heard of their terrors. The orcs on the other hand seemed to vanish from Etharis and other elder races were allowed to found their empires.
