Ernest is a monkey who plays the calliope for the carnival. He was once a middle aged human man but, one night his mind was swapped as the result of a prank involving the calliope, his pet monkey, a leprechaun, and a great quantity of brambleberry wine. After his mind was swapped his monkey ran off with his body and he has been stuck in the monkey's body ever since. Ernest seems to have a obsession with buttons as he collects as many as he can from people and sews them into is outfit.
