Despair - Funerary Rites
There are a variety of grief and funerary rituals throughout Exordium. From wearing white to represent the spirit (and the paling of the skin after death), to bathing a body in oils and setting them to rest among flowers, each aspect is different.
Among those who follow the Trinity Faith, it is customary to have a mourning period of 3 months, each one focusing on a different aspect of the afterlife process. In this case, black is worn to show loss and represent a return to the Aether or the Void. Veils, though not required, are often worn to hide the grief-stricken face so it does not infect those around it with misfortune.
