Exordium - Spirits

When it comes to beliefs surrounding other (non-human) spirits, these also vary by region. In the context of the main story, which takes place in one of the more tropical, rainy areas, “other” spirits are ignored. The main religion has a strong foothold in the region and discourages talks about any nature spirits or others.
The official stance of the Church is that these spirits are negative in nature and too chaotic to be dealt with, thus members of the Church are discouraged from discussing or summoning them. In our world, they may be referred to as demons, though whether or not they are actually evil or negative entities is left up to debate.
