Exordium | Weather | Storms
Of all the natural phenomena, thunder is perhaps the most widely recognized and seen throughout the entirety of Exordium and Aerium. Storms are particularly common, especially sudden squalls that can reach hurricane strength quickly. Even the dry areas are susceptible to these sudden storms, though far less regularly than the other temperate and tropical regions.
The cause of these large thunderstorms is due to a shift in wind current directions caused by the changes in climate. These storms are brutal and tend to cause major flooding wherever they land. Strong, extreme winds also wreak havoc, uprooting anything not firmly tied down to the ground. Cities and other places are often built near the peaks of mountains for this reason.
