Farmer Aeliana

Aeliana is the village's farmer. She lives at the edge of the cluster of houses in between the vegetable and grain fields and the fruit orchard. Her family struggles to make a living due to the ongoing drought that comes at the cost of failing harvests and a substantial reduction of water resources needed to water the plants. Walking through the withered, dry stalks of grain plants toward the well at the villages' center in the hope of obtaining water for the remaining plants, I stumble over the edge of a half-buried slab of stone. Nothing out of the ordinary, as the pale with water buckets needs to be kept upright. While collecting the scattered buckets, I take a closer look at the culprit. There seem to be words engraved into the stone.
