Tea
Tea is a drink that is made from non-poisonous plant parts steeped in hot water. It is usually consumed hot or at least warm, but in rare cases, it is consumed cold.
The reason why one drinks tea varies from hydration and refreshment to medical purposes to soothe various symptoms. Cold tea is often used as a topical treatment in bandages for longer treatments or as a disinfectant rinse for wounds if used for medical purposes.
Manufacturing process
- Rinse the freshly harvested plant parts, cut them into smaller pieces, and add them into a heat-safe container. Alternatively, crush previously dried plant parts before adding them into a heat-safe container.
- Boil water on the fireplace and pour it over the prepared plant parts.
- Let the decoction steep and strain it through the filter into a mug or teapot to separate the liquid from the solid plant parts.
- Let the finished tea cool down until it reaches the desired temperature.
