Unity Arena

Warriors from around the world travel to this place to test and improve their skills and prove themselves. The combatants run through five stages until they stand against the current champion, the Guardian of Unity. The champion remains at the top until they get defeated or step down voluntarily.

Stages

Each enlisted person has to start at stage one and progress through the stages until they reach the champion seat unless they surrender. The duelants need five wins to move into a more advanced stage from the prospect division until the vanguard circuit. To get a chance to fight within the apex championship they need to turn out first from all the fights during the final tournament within the prime duel stage.
  1. Safety Training: Each warrior who lists oneself for the duels runs through safety training before they are allowed to enter the arena.
  2. Prospect Division: The entry-level where newcomers and rookies compete.
  3. Challenger League: A mid-level tier where contenders face increasing challenges.
  4. Vanguard Circuit: A competitive stage where skilled fighters vie for recognition.
  5. Prime Duel: The penultimate challenge where the finalists battle for a shot at the championship.
  6. Apex Championship: The ultimate duel where the winner of the prime duel tournament gets a shot at defeating the current Guardian of the Unity. The one who loses this battle can choose to proceed based on the three options below:
    1. Enter the vanguard circuit stage again during the current season to get a second chance.
    2. Exit the season and start again within the challenger league in the next season.
    3. Exit the arena fights altogether. Those who choose this option may enter the arena fights again if they so desire, but they'll need to start from the bottom again.

Design

It is a large and tall oval building built from various types of stone with a dueling stage in the center. The roof above the spectator ranks is made from oil treated wooden shingles while the roof above the stage is designed as an intricate mandala made from colored glass and metal struts.

Entries

There is one large main entrance with a heavy rustic wooden door and metal fittings that is mainly used by the visitors on duel days. In addition to the main entry, there are multiple smaller entries that provide direct access to the storage, staff, and waiting rooms, as well as the Unity Spital.

Alterations

It was at first a round compacted sandy area with a low fence around it and stands for viewers around it. Later they replaced the sandy area with a raised stage out of smoothed and energetically reinforced white stone around which they built storage and staff rooms, warrior waiting rooms and the spital with the viewer ranks on top.

Defenses

The arena is built from sturdy, heavy stone of various types which are additionally enforced by energetic shields in the immediate perimeter around the dueling stage. The dueling stage in turn is surrounded by a transparent Safeguard Veil to protect viewers from impacts and area spells from the stage.

Tourism

The arena is mainly visited by warriors who don't have a fight at this day and fight within the same league or one above. Furthermore, there are often family members, companions, sparring partner and mentors present to support the fighting duelists.
