Hand of the GrandMaster

The Hand of the Grandmaster was the original ruling organzation of the Junkberg Bermuda. Spawning from the remenants of a Valuser'rh envoy, they were perfect for maintaining order during the dark times of the Lacuna.

When the Wayhalls reopened, the Hand of the Grandmaster pushed for reintegrating the Junkberg Bermuda into the ValuSelu Pact. The rest of the Junkberg had resolved on being independent and mutinied against the Hand of the Grandmaster, killing its members and establishing a local meritocratic government.

Homesick Sheljts

The Hand of the Grandmaster came about during the strife of the Lacuna, they were the first to band together survivors. Their determination to survive formed the basis on which the Bermuda was formed. The Sheljt, did lead with strict traditions and rules. There were many arguments between the well off Sheljt of the Hand and the other Sophont aboard the station.

Humans and Verin were given less priviledge over the Sazashi, approaching subjugation just before the reopening of the Wayhall.

The Revolution

When the Wayhalls reopened, the Hand of the Grandmaster declared that they were in talks with the Pact for integration. It was the final straw for the majority of the station, a day later they delivered the Bermudian Declaration of Sovereignty to the Hand.

When the Hand declined it, they faced a mutiny that led to most members dead or exiled.

Modern Day

During the everyday conversation of the Junkberg's citizens, the Hand rarely comes up as a topic. There are many who believe that the Hand of the Grandmaster is still alive aboard the station, plotting their next rise to power. If the Pact backed them it would lead to a nasty battle that would change the Junkberg Bermuda's future.
