Holocene Collapse

The Holocene Collapse was a multi-part cataclysm which marked the downfall of the old world. This period was marked by ecological collapse, unceasing disaster, the crescendo of the forever wars, and the end of the global economy. Key technological failures, particularly the breakdown of the global internet and cloud systems, compounded the crisis by causing a loss of knowledge and communication.

Without the intervention of Aempis to mitigate many of the worst effects of the Collapse, it is very likely that humanity would've died out. The lands were infertile, the rain was poison, the fuel was burned.

After the Bannercasting, humanity was at last able to rebuild, relying on scattered and fragmented data relics to piece together the history and technology of the pre-collapse civilization.
