Powered by an Industrious People
The world of corporations and industry has brought with it an ethnicity of similarly industrious people. The Jōmanite have molded themselves from the original colony ships the Syndicate sent out during the Banner casting. Primarily of Edenic Asian descent with a high population of GearHeart and IreHeart.
The Tourist Board of Jominato promises there is much to learn from the culture of it's people. From their efficency, to their honor, to the pride they put in their work.
To be a Jōmanite is not a physical benchmark, it's a mental one. Our word is assured by our pride, and our pride is backed by our steel. We keep our steel sharp, and our word reliable.
— "Visiting Jominato" Guide
The Geography
Jominato is a smaller world, with a dense core and mineral-rich crust. Only a few small continents and archipelagos cresting above the seas which drift between emerald green and brilliant glowing turquoise depending on the position of it's singular moon. Great waves of photosynthetic algae are pulled up to the surface by the moons orbital tide, absorbing the uv light and glowing brilliant blue.
The surface of Jominato is also home to a series of permenant storms that follow the oceananic streams. These storms and the tidal forces that power it are both harvested to supply the planet with its electricity.
The patches of landmass that break through the ocean are covered in Edenic flora and fauna. With some exceptions being in the form of Jhoutaioan Coral used to create artifical landmass where needed.
The cities are vertical in build, with great sky scrapers interlocking together like upside roots of a tree. There are four major cities, three on island chains, and one on the largest continent.
The Cities
Kyomamato
The first city founded on the planet. Home to Yamamoto Defense HQ. Known for Research and Development, Cultural Tourism and it's state-of-the-art fabrication facilities.
Port Arashi
Sometimes just called "Stormport." Port Arashi is located close to Kyomamoto, and is testament to Jōmanite ingenuity. Jominato's largest space elevator sits on an island that is barraged by constant storms. Yet it has never failed.
Tide City
The second city founded on another Island chain. The city stretches both above and below the waves. Tide City is named for its massive hundred-miles of tidal power generator.
Pharo Territory
Less of a single and more of a conglomerate of resource towns, the Pharo Territory even today is still being explored and adventured. Each town provides it's own fuel to the Jominato industrial machine.
Rukta is the currency of Ethnis. It separates the haves from the have-nots.
A well planned and creative interpretation of a fringe world. I liked having actions to correspond with this settlement, a way to find one's place within the narrative.
