Tskhan gently bumped his foot against Immuena’s. Looking away from her, he proceeded to rest his jaw on his palm. Tapping his index finger against his temple.
With a somewhat exaggerated sigh, Immuena nudgesd Tskhan in a playful manner. "Look happier." She whispered to him, "Or at least not so bored." giggling, she placed her foot and hand on his, respectively.
<Something on your mind? Please hurry, this is risky.>
<Then quickly now. Did Ulysses go after that Ral-Mi? Is there anything that I should do?> Tskhan took a sip from his chalice.
Immuena drank from the fizzing cup in front of her, <We should probably befriend more envoys. You seem keen on the Pact people. Sound good?> She kept her foot on his as a means to communicate. Setting her glass down, she looked to Tskhan, "How's your drink?" She rested her hand on his and smiled.
<All right, I'll go talk to my Sazashi brothers.> Tskhan pulled his foot from under Immuena's and stood, bumping his swords against his chair once more. Once up, he walked over to the table Sazashi group's table. "Hey Ka, did ya want to join our game of rugby? If anyone else wants to join I'm sure I have another spot on my team."
“-Oh,-” the Ka responded in his coarse Saza. “-You can be certain that the Pact will be playing tonight. Well fed and well energized, as such we all go. I appreciate the offer, kinsman, and look forward to seeing you in action.-”
He raised his glass to Tskhan and drank.
There was a sudden clattering of knife against glass, garnering attention, and the lady rose to speak.
"Envoys, rise. In twenty minutes time the shuttles will begin taking you to the surface. Consider this your mark. Go. Other guests: come out to the Queenswood, I've organized a viewing party for your pleasure!"
Immuena stood, "C'mon Don, let's go gather our friends." pausing, she looked at Tyodor, "And I'm sure we'll be seeing you tonight." she grinned and walked off.
“-I'll be looking out for you and your party on the battlefield, Kinsman. Best of luck to all of you.-” Tskhan left the Sazashi group to join Immuena.
Don strode off as well, visions of tea and violence in his head. Briefly, he wondered if he brought his fighting trousers with him before dismissing the thought. He had other things to worry about. Like if the living dead enjoyed tea. Or how well they could take an uppercut.
Immuena and company strolled into their respective room, looking to prepare themselves for the night to come. As they entered, they were met by Allarah lounging on a bed in the corner and picking apart the ceiling with her eyes.
"Ah! Allarah. May we have a chat, privately?" Immuena’s voice had a tinge of excitement. After all, she devised a way to project her honesty. Slowly Allarah looked to Immuena, wondering what she had planned.
"Of course. Where do you propose we go?" She sat up and swung her legs off the bed.
"Well..." Immuena paused, walked over to Allarah and whispered, "A divination link. You can't doubt my thoughts, then." Pulling her head back, she had a chipper expression. Allarah's face turned to one of immediate discomfort. Was that a blush? She leaned in to whisper into her ear.
"Immuena... I... I can't... It isn't a matter of weather I can sustain a link... It's just that, for Feao, it's... Feao can't really control what we share or don't. Div links are very... intimate for us." She coughed uncomfortably. "I appreciate what you're trying to do. I know it is the best way, and you trust me not fuck with you while I'm in your head. I'll be alright Immuena... and I will give you the benefit of the doubt. We just have to do this whole trust thing the old fashioned way. I won’t hinder you or the group in the meantime... nor will I doubt you without cause." She leaned back on the bed using her arms for support. "I'm sorry, about earlier that is. I was out of line." She chuckled. "I seem to be apologizing a lot tonight."
Imuenna was a bit more than stunned.
"Well then..." she coughed, "So you trust I wasn't simply looking for Hamiarchy diplomatic connections? More importantly, actually, you're going to stay?" The excitement from before carried over, but she held back looking to happy to not seem like she was favoriting Allarah.
"I've found a reason to, so yes. As for the connections... well I still don't know for sure. I'll not bother you with that though. Aren't you supposed to be getting ready?"
"Thank you. And try not to apologize to me too much. I don't see a reason for you to feel sorry." She smiled at her and made to grab her gear.
"I'll think on that." Allarah laid back down on the bed and began studying the stain again. "So, is that all Immuena?" She looked at her. "Thought you would like to know that the comm room is probably tapped... and the Somnolent envoy has a camera under their door facing the hall. Probably not safe to talk there either."
"Isn't that interesting... Thank you for the information. Hopefully we'll be able to use some of it." Immuena finished slipping on her sheathe armor and strapping her weapons to her sides.
"Glad my perception could be of use."
"That's part of the reason I picked you." Immuena giver her a cheeky grin and winked.
She suddenly smiled at Immuena. "I think I like that Hedon Ral-Mi, Lysjho. Hope that doesn't bother you. I might pursue him."
"The more friendly, the better. Others may not be so keen on it, but as long as you know which side you're on in the end, I don't mind." she continued smiling, though it was less cheeky.
"Of course I know what side I'm on. The right one." She winked at Immuena. She hoped it would make her laugh. She had been told she had a strange sense of humor before though.
Looking at a Faeo make facial expressions and smile pulled Immuena's attention more than the purpose of the wink. Walking over, she more closely examined Allarah's face; to make sure it wasn't some illusion or dream.
"Yeah... right one... Good... to hear..." her replies were slow and sounded much like she was hypnotized. Allarah's face relaxed into its usual stony facade.
"May I help you? You are awfully close."
"Sorry. No. Sorry." Immuena backed up again. "I was shocked. I haven't seen that much expression in a Faeo. Never been able to befriend any, I suppose." A quizzical look rolled over her face, then it was gone, "Anyway, we should finish up here. Make sure everyone is ready, yes?" She reached out her hand to help Allarah up. She took it and stood, her hand easily eclipsing Immuena's.
"Alright then."
