Pools of Everlasting

by Jeremy Bishop
The Pools of Everlasting, known mainly by "The Pools", are nestled in the Hattara Peaks. The exact location is a closely guarded secret with only five people per country allowed to know the exact location at a time.     A visit to the Pools is given to those who have completed an outstanding deed, model citizens, or other honors. There are a few families that have the finances to afford the stay at the Pools though they are prohibited from visiting using this method again for another year.     Every year there is one family that is chosen from each country to live in the homes walking distance from the Pools for up to one year. The families are pick by different methods depending on the country in Jaahil the family is chosen by a citizen vote. A small committee reviews and interviews the top voted 30 families and determines the family that will be living at the Pools for up to a year (the family's decision).

History

The Pools of Everlasting started as a naturally occurring hot springs, though it was much much smaller, less grand, and there was not mountains sounding it blocking it from view. The Pools were magicked to be bigger and the mountains encasing the Pools were also magicked to provide privacy, secrecy, and genuine peace. The Pools came as a peace offering for all within Ethrosa by Alger Montera III a Druid Wizard. They worked to find a way to end the War of Crystalize Destruction and start rebuilding or building relationships between countries and races.     It took two straight years of daily magic and guidance from Eldath, godess of peace, to complete the transformation of the hot springs into the Pools of Everlasting. From there Eldath spoke with all of the countries leaders offering them all a gift if they would like to see it. The leaders of Ethrosa agreed and the War ended 1 CE 15 /11 1300:00. The Ancestral Bond was born from the Leaders of Ethrosa, Eldath, and Alger the Druid/Wizard. This is why the Ancestral Bond's crest is a hot spring with magic coming from it.
