Eoragidd

Preceding Events:   After The Fall of the Adonian Empire, Rai stripped Acantha of his natural powers, leaving him significantly weakened. Rai wanted Acantha to know what it felt like to be mortal, although he was not altogether powerless. Rai could not destroy this power and instead sealed it in Abaddon  with the bulk of his strength. This left Rai significantly weakened. He exiled himself to a forest in the far East, wounded and ashamed at not stopping Acantha sooner.    Acantha took on the form of a serpent and fled to the swamps of the far southwestern corner of the continent. Peregra vowed to hunt Acantha should he return. Those who had taken Acantha's poison, his followers, emigrated in search of Acantha.    Peregra begins studying the dragons, learns some of their powers    Acantha becomes Sarigeth     The Death of Belis   Sarigeth cannot be killed (why?) sealed in Ice by Peregra, perhaps an ice sword   After (?) Eoragidd, Peregra visits or is summoned by Ozdrak and becomes the first Vicar of death Ozdrak wants Sarigeth killed (refers to him as Lifestealer) for robbing him of souls (how does Sarigeth do this?)   Tetsud is weary of Acantha and tries to think of a way to stop him.   Establishment -Tetsud idea: Tetsud attempts to stop Acantha’s plan by utilizing a weapon. This weapon could be the sword of the first material that Oroga uses to slay Belisiamat. Perhaps Tetsud trusts Oroga or relies on him, thinking of him as a “weapon”, when in fact in lead to their own defeat. This would be mirrored in Lehro, who uses Dumuzid’s power to seal Aguilles away for a period of time. This could be why Beoth hates him, why Aguilles hates Lehro. On the other side, Tetsud was doing everything he could to defeat Acantha, while Beoth was either complicit by not acting fast enough or in fact aligned with Acantha. Maybe Beoth relied on Acantha to settle the score against Ursu?   The Murder of the Elder God Belis   Oroga had always viewed the seas with contempt. Aethereans grew to fear the great beast of the sea, Leviathan.   Aethereans have a mythology of wind and storm, where their great mythological enemy is the Leviathan/Tiamat(Dark side of Belis). In my mythology, Belis is killed by Oroga who is avenging the destruction brought about by Tiamat. Since I am developing the idea of the crab being the patron of the guhrians but he abandoned them, and I imagine him as being a god aligned with Balean (Who thinks the humans are no good and that the gods should leave them to their own devices). Perhaps at some point, he realizes what he has done and asks for assistance for his old people. I am still cutting away at this stone, trying to turn it into some marble statue. In doing this, he abandons Balean because he grieves for what he has done and what he has let his people become. Maybe these people also had some affinity towards Belis…. The crab follows Balean and Belis…   In Broken Stone, Oroga has evolved into a deity of stone, the warrior who killed the Storm Dragon and liberated their people, the true Drogic peoples. He challenged all of the gods in order to free his people (He felt that the elemental gods had no concern of humanity, as evidenced by Leviathan destroying so much to fight an enemy. In Aetheria, he is referred to as the most terrible of the storm kings who betrayed Augnir and Aion. In Mithraidic myth, he is referred to as the fallen one who joined Acantha.   Eoragidd Idea: In the book of revelation, the early church used the image of a man, an ox, a lion, and an eagle as standing around the throne – The twist legend here could be that Augnir, Rai, and Aiga kneel before Aion and guard his throne?     Arach - Gaelic for dragon Suigan Agnuis
