Etras

Etras is a world set roughly two thousand years after a great cataclysm that laid low the last of the great empires. Once united by continent-spanning empires, the people of Etras are now scattered and broken, severed from the outside world by hundreds of miles of unexplored wilderness. Between the dim lights of the towns and villages of Etras lies a vast expanse of potential: long lost artifacts, crumbling dead cities, hidden powers and more are there for any adventurer brave enough to find them. While the world is a shadow of its former self, the echoes of these titanic empires are still reflected in the cultures of the descendants of their inhabitants. The Derennian people for example, still mostly worship the pantheon of their ancestors, as well as celebrate their holidays.   After two millennia disjointed and broken, the people of Etras are starting to reach out once again, rebuilding and rediscovering what has been lost in ages long past.
