Eshua is a rocky country in the west of the continent of Caia, full of hills, lakes, and forests. The northeast of the country borders the mountain range of the Teeth, and to the south it shares a river border with the country of Kaien. The rest of Eshua is bordered by the the sea. The mountains channel weather through their peaks, leaving Eshua a damp country for most of the year round. In winter, the north gets heavy snow.
Technically, Eshua is part of the Kaienese Empire. Eshua does not have a central seat of power, though not for lack of attempts over the years. Instead, each city governs itself and the surrounding area, and more remote settlements rely on themselves. Each city has a representative from the Emperor to guide them, although many do not listen. The cities have come together to codify certain things into law, so, in general, the city leaders are on the same page.
