Esteos

Esteos is a large island nation to the east side of the continent of Caia. Though it has a hot and humid climate in general, in the winter the northern reaches of the island still sometimes get snow and ice due to cold ocean currents from the north.
Esteos is one of the only countries in Caia where the majority of its inhabitants are not human; instead, the dominant sapient species on Esteos are shapeshifters. The capital city of Kesterhal is one of the top ten biggest cities in Caia.
Much of Esteos is covered in rainforest and is home to thousands of unique flora, fauna, and fungi.
