Fairpoint is a medium-sized city in located in the northwest of Kaien, with a population of around ten thousand people. Originally built in the valley between two hills, it has grown and spread out to now cover five hills. Whilst the areas of city built in the valley are eclectic mixes of residental and commercial buildings, the five hills are solely residential.
The city has several marble quarries nearby, which is Fairpoint's largest export. Most of the buildings in the city, however, are constructed from pale limestone. The more wealthy areas of the city have more marble incorporated in their architecture.
