Farlbrek is the northernmost Ibrish settlement in the country of Ibatrene. It is located on the coast of the Black Sea, and is about five miles north of the edge of the Snaplige forest. For much of the year, the Black Sea is frozen over, so Farlbrek is often many miles from open water.
Farlbrek is a small village of around two hundred inhabitants. Most of the buildings are made of wood from the nearby forest, though some have stone foundations. The only two buildings that are made of a majority stone are the kyrk, where divine services are held, and the community hall.
During the summer months, when the sea is unfrozen, much of the fish for the rest of the year's food is collected to be smoked, dried, frozen, or otherwise preserved.
