Farlbrek Gyrhald

The gyrhald is the centre of the community in the majority of settlements across Ibatrene and Escilar, and Farlbrek is no exception. Farlbrek's gyrhald is one of only two buildings constructed mostly from Stone, the other being the village's kyrk. It is the largest building in the village, and also the oldest, acting as a place to worship before the kyrk was built. It is a place where the community gathers to eat meals, tell stories, and hold meetings.
It has an angled roof to stop snow gathering on top, and three large chimneys to allow smoke to escape the building. At the centre of the gyrhald is a long firepit, which remains ablaze for most of the day and night. A mixture of fur and hide rugs cover the floor to act as seating, and tapestries hang on the walls as insulation.
