The Bazuurine

The people of Bazuur

The Bazuurine live mostly in (most often walled) cities that are built around natural oases or wells, water being the most precious resource needed to survive in the sweltering country of Bazuur. The short wet season sustains the country, replenishing the water supplies needed for the long dry season.   The cities are connected by a network of roads known as the Shiran, which means 'veins' in Bazuurine. Trade flows along these roads, allowing the country as a whole to flourish. Some Bazuurine spend their whole life travelling the Shiran, moving from city to city with their wares.   Bazuurine cities are colourful, the walls and buildings decorated with painted clay tiles and tinted glass.
