The Caillish

The people of Caillah

Originally native to the large island of Erias, the Caillish founded the country of Caillah nearly two thousand years ago in 3394 EA. Over the years, the Caillish have become a rather isolationist people, rarely trading with or interacting with other countries.
The majority of the Caillish follow the religion of the Faith, which is observed across much of northern Caia and parts of Aenica. The Caillish are strict observers of doctrine, which has led to the Caillish version of the Faith to be considered its own denomination.
There is a rigid divide between the nobility of the country and the rest of the population, with little to no chance of social mobility. The nobles of the country spend most of their time in elaborate political machinations with each other, which they call the Dance.
