The Newech are a large clan of shapeshifters that live on the rocky northern coast of Achia. In their animal form, they shapeshift into grey seals. Their territory consists of a number of fishing villages and several coastal caves.
The Newech count a number of humans amongst their number who have made themselves a solid parts of their communities. Close familial and community bonds are important, though they do not elevate blood connections.
The Newech have a strong relationship with the Ilwyrikan Sea, and children are taught from a young age to respect the water. Offerings are made to the ocean before a fishing boat will depart, and another when it returns to port.
