Session Zero Summary: Shadows Loom

Arrival in Phandelver   The characters individually arrived in Phandelver, a bustling frontier town with a diverse population. Discovered that the town was experiencing an increasing number of mysterious disturbances, from strange occurrences in the natural world to rumors of a growing goblin threat.   Visit to the Town's Library   Before visiting the adventurers guild, the party visited the town's library to gather historical information about Phandelver and the mining Cave. Found ancient texts and maps hinting at the cave's connection to powerful artifacts and the town's past involvement in mining. Discovered that the cave had a dark history involving a failed cult ritual that created a sphere-shaped void emitting dark energy. After leaving the library, the party was stalked by someone in a white cloak but when they attempted to confront them, the individual was nowhere to be seen.   The Call to Action   The adventurers were individually drawn to the Adventurers' Guild, where a representative informed them about the escalating goblin menace. The characters decided to join forces and undertake a mission to eliminate the goblin threat and uncover the source of the disturbances.   Goblin Ambush   While en route to investigate the goblin threat, the party encountered a group of goblin ambushers. Dispatched the goblin ambushers with a display of their individual skills and teamwork.   The Aftermath   Following the goblin ambush, the party decided to return to Phandelver to gather more information before directly confronting the goblin threat. The session concluded with the party standing on the outskirts of Phandelver, ready to delve deeper into the mysteries that surrounded the town.
