Description

This colorful amber broach contains a lock of fur, a feather fragment, etc. Upon touching the broach and uttering the command word, the broach has the ability to store the wearer's willing familiar, spirit animal, or animal companion inside it or retrieve such creature, provided that the creature in question is the same size category as the wearer or smaller and within reach of the wearer. While inside the broach, the creature is considered merged with the wearer, as per merge with familiar, however the creature perceives a relaxing and calming environment, though this environment is illusory and is not an extradimensional space. The creature still benefits from its empathic link and can see and hear out of the broach using its normal senses. If the creature is able to speak with its master (such as a familiar), it may do so telepathically. If the broach is removed from the wearer's body or its effects are suppressed, any merged creature is instantly ejected from the broach. The broach is only capable of merging with a creature for a total of 8 hours per day, though this time need not be spent in any particular increments.
