Tactician's Tuner
A small eyeglass-like contraption, with a polished bronze frame that can easily clip onto or wrap around most surfaces. It can clip onto musical instruments to aid in tuning and improve any magical effects.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
As a standard action, the user may attach this item to an unattended item or one currently held by the user.
While attached to an object, sound-based abilities (such as Bardic Performance or Raging Song) and spells with the sound descriptor cast through the object have a +1 competency bonus to their DC’s or attack rolls.
If the object is a musical instrument, the eyeglass part of item will display the current note played as well as how sharp or flat the note is.
