The Ironsworn of Reva'sel

The Ironsworn were created to protect and serve the people of the Underdark cities, approximately 720 years ago, by the monarch Elestor Vashaw, a Drow King who forged the great cities and outposts throughout the Underdark Network.
When the Ironsworn came into effect in the cities of Reva'sel and Obrul, they were given full control of the policing systems under marshal law, until they were reformed by the Queen, Anacrul Vashaw. Under new management, the Ironsworn became renowned for their reclusive nature and harsh training regimes.
These regimes taught them how to track foes and endure harsh climates, and gave rise to the first High Hunters.
Despite the new hierarchy of power and new regime, the Ironsworn was disbanded in Obrul, under the leadership of the eldest son of the reigning monarchs - Idolon. The younger son, an albino, took reign in Reva'sel, and was dubbed the Sun Prince by his people. There, he kept the Ironsworn, but told them that they must slumber until the Bells of War ring.
Now, the Bells have been foreseen in prophecy to ring, awash in the blood of the people of Reva'sel, when none are left standing...

But one man.

Structure

The Ironsworn are run by High Hunters, great trackers and warriors who lead the other Ironsworn, known as Scouts, Inquisitors, and Runners. The entirety of the group answers to the leader of Reva'sel, Prince Raja Vashaw and the Hand of Sollus.

Public Agenda

The guild is dedicated to protecting Reva'sel and its leader in the most dire of times. However, they have no public presence nor act upon inconveniences in the city, but instead wait on the toll of the Bells of War.

Assets

The Ironsworn have a cache of magical weapons and gold that allows them to replenish their stocks of food and ammunition whenever necessary. They utilise this only when they are summoned.

History

The Ironsworn were formed by the old King of the Underdark, Elestor Vashaw, when the Underdark was in disarray from a power struggle between Illithids and the Drow. Elestor created the guild to protect his prised cities from harm, having the Ironsworn based in Reva'sel and Obrul. However, the Ironsworn were disbanded in Obrul after the Elder Prince, Idolon Vashaw took power, and in their place came the Nightstalkers.
