Plot points/Scenes
finding Mr.Greenwood in Renglees... (This shouldn't be too hard
he's been working with the poor people in the slums will tell you any thing for a sliver of wealth and "Mr.Greenwood" isn't making any attempt to hide at all and can be seen living his life giving to the poor in the Slumbs working with the under city and walking around in the noble area.
Finding out he's an importer... (the players must know find the person who changed his face
he's a commoner who found himself with a handful of money and a target on his back he spent that money on changing his face to a noble he too traded half his life away but got too live a good life he learnt magic and has been living peacefully in Renglees managing the trying to make things better for the friends he had when he was poor he was not told that there was any kind of risk to walking around with this face. (the man used to be a low skill necromancer who saved someones life and was payed a great amount but was found to be a necromancer so he had to change his face.)
finding the new faces... (they must do a favor for the arch fey to find ally's true identity
the arch fey is a power full creature of chaos and misfortune they look like a humanoid elf but they can change there appearance with ease they work in the underground city under Renglees they want 3 things interesting faces these are the faces of people with much power or colorful races they must be humanoid in nature The Fey is specifically looking for Tabaxi and Lizard folk, these people have to be brought alive to the arch fey. 2, she has little interest in gold but magic items and poisons are of great interest especially ones that cause long time paralysis or petrification or sleep so (Torpor, Essence of ether, Drow poison and Carrion crawler mucus) which the assassins guild is all out of due too the fey buying it all so bring them ingredients and they offer there information 3 The face of the Devil and half his life span ill offer you a commoners face if you want you can go out and pick on ones I take your face you'll be given a new body any race you want your voice will change and it will take some time for you to get used to your new bodies and people will not recognize you there is no way for them to be certain its you magic will tell them its not you and the only way you can get it back trading something of equal value. Allies face is up for sale, and when the fey is questioned about it they'll only reveal what they know for a price as mentioned above (if proved that James Oakland is the real lover boy they fey may reveal what he knows for "free" (aly already payed for him)). What he knows is that ally left a message for a James Oakland to meet the green eyed girl at the stables bringing a a red flower coated in any inhaled poison.
Finding aly... (she is not the green eyed girl
a green eyed girl is grooming the horses at the stable she's much younger then aly with short brown hair and freckles aly is waiting hidden behind the stables a brown eyed brunet who is tall and older looking (29) when seeing the girl smell the flower and feel the effects of the poison she will reveal herself as aly (ofc there is no way for her to prove this) they then work on hiding the body and leaving the stables aly has joined the party and begins to fill in James and "his little friends" whats been going on and is ready for revenge. I may use this time to send some cobblers after the party while there all at the scene of the crime.
This is replaced by Ally who wants vengeance and knows his face and location
finding his new location... (the arch fey may know of this
I just know the face I gave him and where it came from not where he went too live maybe his "family" will probably knows you can ask them they live in the modest part of Renglees, you know the kind of peasants that don't cover themselves in mud. Also if you ever find yourself having a partner with a pretty face come bye I might have something else for you. The family is Relatively poor as the mother is now a single mother with one son and a daughter. The son works as a pick pocket in the Bazar to make ends meet while the mother throws her life away on the loom trying to make clothes she can sell so that they can eat well. any amount of damages will be enough for them to potentially fall into the slums the real father seemed to have sold his face and to try and avoid poverty deserting the family for a year before Mr.Greenwood returned to there home to see if he could make a life there but it was too different and he would have to work there and they where just lesser being except the daughter who was just as sweet as the Ally he remembered so he took her adopted her as he left the Family behind telling them that she could live well in Genra where he would work on the front lines .He said he would send back money but only did so for 2 weeks until the family received a letter informing them that he had died in battle(it goes into excessive detail about how he died valiantly bravly and like a true hero ) (it was a clear fake DC 10 investigation) but the address on the letter was from Genra. The family sees him as a hero who died valiantly but they felt assured that there daughter would live a good life in Genra away from all the crime and poverty.
this is still a part off allies vengeance
getting to Genra... (dependant on when they find this out)
Genra is just north of renglees and they will have to deal with the cobblers pursuet of them before they can get much done.
finding his home and killing him...
they know his face and that he likes to live lavishly with an expensive taste. his house is a newish house seemingly made for him and his daughter it's still under some construction with unfinished rooms and walls. he feels safe and doesn't have any personal guards.
