Session 3 Renglees

This is where they can start finding clues too the location and preparations Dr.Shoelittle had taken. His current location is within Renglees in the less wealthy area. He's there as it's the last place most expect his house is simple with no additional protection except his sheild guardians protection and an alarm spell strung across the single door. The house is flammable and inside the room is dark unless illuminated by a magic light at the top of the room that responds to voice in halting to either on off or dim. The room is covered with paper and notes with minimal furniture there is a bed a desk and a small table there is also a teleportation circle within the closet. This circle is designed to be a one time use transporting him far away to a safe location in Mevlova, a small underground fort in the inner city this area has a coin and gold. The doctor wants to return to Renglees as soon as possible and get back to work depending on how close the players where to defeating him he'll take more precautions. The clues: the doctor works through another well trusted man a mage who was seen buying the shield amulet at the market a few months ago from a magic item seller. Some of the lower cobblers will have heard rumor "the doctor got a new toy not that long ago apparently a golem of some kind" "I heard he has a magic amulet that shields him from danger. Boy do I wish I had the stuff he does.". The doctors contact with the outside world will only visit his house if something is urgent or they believe some one could be magically spying on there communications. He will contact him any time plans are going well or there is news to report. For example is the magic items are stolen or going missing if cobblers are dying or going missing ect.   A place of interest to the players will be the small caches of magic items as well as there where house which holds records of who has what magic items when they arrived ect. Any of the magic items going to Dr.shoelittle are scratched out there are also no signs of golems or amulets in the book, despite one of the merchants clearly remembering a cobbler buying the item of him.(Cobblers aren't allowed in the under city and so most magic items that come from there weren't purchased but confiscate or smuggled to them indirectly)   People in the less wealthy side of town will also remember someone buying out a bunch of peoples of there homes in a specific area a year ago but it's old news by this point.   Most cobblers have no idea where he lives but he has to get food and supplies delivered to him some how. So some cobblers are given the job of transporting goods around to different places this is one of the reasons that the doctor taught all these houses. The items are transported to a random house which is filled with traps the items are placed inside the house then picked up later by a different cobbler and taken to another house this happens at least 3 times but sometimes more depending on the values or urgency of the items before The doctors trusted cobbler takes it to the real house. There are a total of 8 trapped houses if any person travels any further then a red line which the supplies are to be placed behind the trap will trigger. The supplies them self are alarmed by the trusted cobbler who can activate explosive runes to destroy the supplies and wound the thieves cobblers are then sent to investigate the area and ensure the theife is dead.

Plot points/Scenes

on entering the city they will learn more about The cobblers from NPCs and see there violent justice being served to a lowly criminal, this will be when they learn more about the mysterious Dr.shoelittle, the first day in the city is truly there own and might spend the whole day messing with the open world. during the night the lady in white will try to frame the party for murder
