Soleran Calendar

The Known Lands of Evandel use the Soleran Calendar, which divides the 364-day year into four seasons, with 13 seven-day weeks. 
The Week

1. Lundown
2. Mardown
3. Merdown
4. Jeudown
5. Vendown
6. Samdown
7. Diedown 

The week begins with Lundown, which is also always the first day of the new season. Every first Lundown of the new season marks a celebration, and a Holy Day of Obligation in the Church of Down, and many Particularist Churches. Diedown, the last day, where the week is literally supposed to 'die down,' is a day of rest. The Church of Down considers attendance of liturgy on Diedown to be obligatory. 
The four seasons of the Soleran Calendar are:

1. The Rise
2. The Climb
3. The Peak
4. The Fall

On the 91st day of the Fall, the Church of Down marks the waning, followed by The Blooming on the 1st day of Rise, which also marks the new year. The celebrations and solemnities associated with both the waning and the blooming and how they are celebrated apart from the liturgy is typically at the discretion of either the respective Vicar, or civil authority.
