Evera 2024

New Year Resolutions for 2024

Last year's end was a difficult time for me. I fell sick more than five times and had little energy to get out of bed. However, I completed Worldember on time and it felt like a miracle.
In 2023, I focused on improving my English language and grammar skills. Hungarian and English literature have very different approaches, so I still have much to learn and practice. To help me with this, I started using Grammarly and Duolingo for practice. I am now more confident in writing and speaking in English.
For the first half of this year, my priority was to finish all my articles and other projects about Nehalenor. Perhaps someone can use them as a new campaign setting at the end of the year.

This month, I have started learning HTML and CSS. I am excited about these courses and hope to create custom Evera CSS.

Reading list of Worldember 2023

I love reading Tonarus's articles and want to read everything about Aetheria one day. (I'll finish the description of Evera first.)
As I work through the old sketches of Nehalenor's geographical locations, I have a serious problem delving sufficiently into the values of each location. This article is a good example of how diverse a region is.
I missed the links to the new places/creatures mentioned, but that probably has to do with the tight deadline.

It's hard not to like what Tillerz writes, anyway, that with such professional work, I'll never rise to this height, but I learn a lot from what I see/read, and so it's one more reason to follow all the work in addition to the content.

One of my main goals is to make my world as playable as possible, so every idea that comes up while reading is a gift.

I like different magic systems and different approaches to magic.

In my writings, it usually appears as a source of conflict, as a power that not everyone can reach.

Beautiful setup, easy to read, and sufficiently concise article.

A very nice and easy-to-read article with many links for further reading. It's very put together. I loved it!

Writing about materials is one of my Achilles heels because I rarely think of anything beyond physical information and basic use.
I liked how the material was connected to the world with the description of the bard.
The setup turned out to be a little long, perhaps because of the basic layout and the positioning of the image. It's always strange when a text is not in a line-excluded layout. But this is what we were taught at school here, so it's my fixation.

Struggles against the Church of Order
Military Conflict | Mar 19, 2024

Despite what it commonly claims, the Church of Order had far from an easy time unifiying the peoples faith under its own banner. In part because of certain individuals.

A completely new approach to the topic of military conflict for me, but maybe that's why I liked it so much.
Last year I wrote about a more serious campaign for the first time, even though wars determined the history of Evera and the development of the world's peoples and its destiny. However, inter-organizational and local conflicts are an important part of everyday life.

The God Wars
Military Conflict | Dec 27, 2023
This article is a bit sketchy (due to the deadline, I think), but it contains almost everything I could be interested in.
Soon, I will get around to writing more about the Battle of the East, which was one of the biggest campaigns in the history of Evera, where the armies of mortals clashed with the support of their gods.

North Pass
Settlement | Feb 11, 2024
A nice and short article about a mining settlement, with a cute map.
This is a very good sketch that I should take as an example.

Darkfell
Geographic Location | Feb 23, 2024
A very good example of how a brief description of a place can be interesting. Another reason to strike a balance between detail and readability.

Legend of the Weeping Widow
Myth | Jan 31, 2024
I liked the introduction.
I've already managed to record some legends, at least in my native language, it's time to translate them.
