Feast of the Dead

On the first day of winter, communities/tribes gather in shrines and temples to remember all those they lost that year. This puritanical, quiet ceremony also helps close the mourning period. The holiday only lasts from sunrise to sunset, after which the families return to their homes and behave modestly in their honor, even if there is no death in their immediate family.
For Narmiron elves, it is taboo to mention the deceased after that. This can be different in Surta elven communities, there are regions, mainly on the islands of Ilia Bay, where songs and poems are sung about the deceased, which can even last for thousands of years. The Mystic elves often visit the graves of their loved ones and erect huge tombstones for great leaders, mages, and priests, on which the most important moments of their history and life appear in writing or as artworks.
