Swiftball

Swiftball was originally used by the military to improve cooperation and communication among units, but it quickly caught on in the public consciousness and most people who grew up in Vasanna tried the game at least once in their lives.
The ball is played on a rectangular, designated field, usually with a hard-stuffed ball made of leather (but children may also use an other kind of ball or some improvised ball). There is a target basket or pit in the four corners of the field, designated oppositely as the goal of each team.   Starting from the middle of the field, the two teams of the same number (8-16 people) try to get the ball to their own goal, while the opponents try to prevent this. The ball can be kicked, hit and thrown, and the same is true for the opponent.   When the ball reaches the goal, the successful team receives a flag (these are flags with crests for big games, ribbons for children), the game stops until everyone reaches the middle of the field and then the race for the ball starts again.   The game stops in one more case: if one of the players faints, the game stops until they are taken off the field, and the fight starts again from the middle, only one team has fewer players than the other team.   The start and pause of the game is signaled by the sound of a horn (or yelling, where this is not possible).   The team that first manages to get the ball to the goal ten times wins, i.e. gets ten flags.
If one team runs out of all players, the opponent automatically wins. In big games such a win is considered unfair, but in smaller games it is not an uncommon occurrence.
