The Dragol Armada
The Dragol Armada
The Dragol Armada is the First fleet of ships sent off from Dragol. After Dragol has used most of its resources for magical advancements the Country was Forced to search for new lands. The Dragol Militia is becoming more and more advanced due to it's Government being transferred from a monarchy to a Magocracy due to the death of High King Dronos. Since High king dronos’ death in 105 DY. Since then the Country has been run by mages and the focus of the country has been on advancing Magic and it's more destructive capabilities. Some of the more notable names in the last hundred years are Broven Grant, a human magician who discovered that some spells can be powered via Material rather than through the manipulation of the weave. Ezran Reighn, an Elven Wizard who discovered that through the use of heavy manipulation of base Arcane equations and The weave you can learn to change certain elements of spells to be more catered towards more advantageous positions. Wargo Banks, A human Wizard who learned that the focusing of power in small areas can throw off the principal of expending magic through one's body, If enough power is gathered in a small enough area those in that area can have an easier time manipulating the weave but this also comes with the risk of losing control to the weave. The Last notable magician was the last single ruler of Dragol, her name was Dremare Warsht, she was a Gnomish woman who in her rule put in place the Warsht law that stated that Dragol could not be ruled ever again by any one ruler and that the rulers of the country had to be 3 mages of different expertise, one martial warrior, and two Descendants of a “Royal” or “Noble” bloodline from Dragol. Warsht also came up with a way to use a common resource known as “Windtears' ' to help propel and better the journey of the made ships. Shortly before the first voyage departed Warsht died and the Warsht rule stood in place, 6 new rulers were elected via a very complicated ritual also made by Warsht. The 6 rulers argued for months on when and how the First fleet would leave, what it would be called, and who would sail the ships. It was Decreed that the Fleet be named “The Dragol Armada '' And it would sail west for 7 Weeks or until something was found.
The Dragol Armada set sail in mid 285 DY and 5 weeks later found a land mass. Those on the ships were soldiers, mages and scholars. The ships docked at the shore of this land mass and hundreds of men came from the ships and searched the lands. The Dragol Armada was encountered shortly after by a small force of Never before seen species known as Tabaxi. The Tabaxi were quickly suppressed, captured and brought back to Dragol, some were let free while others were trained. After a few months the Leaders of Dragol focused all of their efforts into making more ships and having a bigger fleet sail to this new landmass to contact and negotiate with these new lifeforms. Early 286 DY the armada leaves Dragol and arrives at the landmass, Hundreds of soldiers, scholars, and mages march off the ships onto these unknown lands and have been operating inside the cities of the landmass which was learned to be called Aezraghn.
After being stationed in Aezraghn for a few weeks the Armada has sailed back and forth between Aezraghn and Dragol to convey negotiations between the two counties. The Dragolians wanted to have full access to the resources of this new land but those who existed on this land did not agree to those terms so an agreement of trade has been being discussed on very fragile trust. Neither Country trusts the other so tensions are high but the Trade agreements are being drawn close. Since the arrival of The Dragol Armada the people of Aezraghn and Dragol have intermingled in some areas. The countries now have small amounts of the other ones' culture scattered in its population. The 6 Rulers of Dragol are conversing with The Queen of Xiria, While Xiria is the largest city in Aezraghn it does not rule over all of it or have any say over any territory other than it's own, other leaders and rulers have even became hostile to the new Dragolian Immigrants and as such The Queen of Xiria has recommended that the Dragolians stay on her land while negotiations are being written up because she cannot guarantee safety on other land. Since the Queen of Xiria has sponsored The Dragol Armada other cities are hesitant to declare battle with the armada since any harm caused the armada can likely mean war with Xiria as well.
