Children by Design is a genetic engineering firm owned by Terran trillionaire, Cleves Nguyen. They are extremely detailed when genetically engineering offspring, and every single child they create is considered a work of art, to the point that on the cells of every child they make is a watermark saying "Copyright of Children by Design".
They used to be under a lot of criticism in the past, but due to their successful marketing campaign and lining the pockets of government officials throughout the solar system, they've become the most popular genetic engineering firm of humanity.
Babies by Design does not have a base in Io at all. Ioans are typically too poor to afford it if they're stuck on Io, and there's no amount of genetic engineering that can make a child fireproof.
