Long ago in a time before Dragons and Goblins was a realm.... full of metal. It was full of imagination and innovation the people that held this power called theme self's the Metal Keepers a group of incredibly talented magic user that could create almost anything they dreamt of. The Soulless however a group of purebloods (nonmagic folk) that thought having these gifts of magic and metal machines where a sin. They killed anyone that created anything of the steam sort. Trains, robots, machines were destroyed till there where none left. People hid away trying to keep that magic alive but they failed. 200 Years later The Souless has been not heard from in 100's of years and Evinruine has been at peace, people have magic but the only hint of the Metal Age is in ruins deep within the Dead End and The tower of knowledge. The tower of knowledge is the only place left in Evinruine outside of The Dead End with a running clock tower. A mage by the name of Renata was able with the help of other wizards to protect it and keep it hidden from The Souless.
