Evnoia

The 14th day of the Forlorn Moon, 450 ADC

Following mass destruction, life can only move up and onwards. The continent of Evnoia had not felt so peaceful in thousands of years. Even stories of peace before "The Divine Cleansing" were beginning to feel more like fiction than they once did. For the Gods had chose to smite Evnoia, wipe away its lush jungles of foliage and growth, drain its lakes and displace them across the continent, and wreck its towering mountains leaving them as simple craters. But that was 150 years ago. The Gods had left slivers of life remaining, before closing the connection to the material plane altogether.   The life that remains choses to honor the God's giving them as much favor as a mortal can with its minuscule lifespan. Hoping that if a cleansing happens again, the deity will keep in mind its followers. Life has found its way once again and Evnoia is flourishing with piety and prosperity with the bridge severed, another cleansing would be simply irrational.   The continent of Anatarachi led the way in the rebirth of humanity. The continent, though severely damaged by "the cleansing" remained outside of the mass destruction. This left its beautiful scenery to be relatively unharmed, however, the western part of the continent was severed from the mainland leaving numerous isolated islands and archipelagoes. Humanity's population grew fast, but with more brains comes more ideals. The continent divided itself into numerous kingdoms through war, each devoting themselves to the god they believed was the most powerful and best equipped to protect them in another cleansing. Next to the many strong and great kingdoms stands one organized and neutral republic. Long in nature, the republic of Morsgoava stood in the way of kingdoms access to the Medelhavet Sea that divides Anatarachi from the mainland. The capitol city Morshjem was a lively city that looked upon the sea and the bridge to the mainland. The highly populated city was known for its great business for traders and artisans of all kinds. Its mass residential district held few criminals and many trade schools. This is where our story begins.
