Gil used to live on the edges of Taskenia, and his village was attacked by Dragonborn from Chak Shal. His family was killed, yet he survived the violence and rage of the attack. He attended Corellon's Academy when he was old enough, but soon grew frustrated that he wasn't learning faster and that the Academy put limits on what could and could not be learned. He wants revenge for the death of his family, but to do that he would need to be powerful enough to fight a whole country of militant Dragonborn. He decided to create the Sanguine Assembly, a small sect of students wanting to overthrow the Academy and learn necromancy and hemomancy. In his studies he decided that his best ally might be someone from another plane, and so began his plan to bring Graz'zt and his demons from the abyss to their plane. His first attempt was botched and he ended up just opening a portal that Dweezel went through. Despite his failure, a demon came to him with Graz'zt's blessing and he became the avatar of Graz'zt. He needed blood to fuel his transition, so he would entice others to evil and put them in dangerous situations and let them die (ex: Corza and Narash). Now, he is building his power and an army to take over Ceshules. Maybe then he'll have the manpower to defeat Chak Shal.

A misguided, charismatic man, who pursues a path of power and revenge. His morals are questionable, but no one can say he isn't persistent.
